Camp Life & Accommodation
All our camps are set in organized campsites throughout the Manso Basin. Multi-day trips are designed to follow the season’s best waters and adapt to conditions, ensuring the most productive experience possible. Depending on the length of your trip, we may combine sections of the Middle and Lower Manso with some of the basin’s stunning and highly productive lakes. Each day offers new waters and fresh opportunities.
When you arrive at camp, you’ll be greeted with fine wines, cocktails, and a generous dinner by the fire. Nights are spent in spacious private tents equipped with NRS cots, air mattresses, warm sleeping bags, pillows, and side tables. For extra comfort, we host just two guests per six-person tent. Dedicated dining, kitchen, and shower tents ensure a cozy and enjoyable stay in any weather.
Meals
Menus are planned in advance and tailored to your preferences. Here are a few guest favorites:
Breakfast: Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, and quality coffee.
Lunch: A new menu each day, served riverside by your guides in the middle of your fishing adventure (vegan options available).
Dinner: Prepared by our staff, featuring meals cooked on the griddle or the traditional Patagonian disk. Regional specialties like slow-cooked Patagonian lamb are always a highlight.
The Manso Basin lies about 50 miles from Bariloche, with travel times typically around an hour and a half. We meet at 8:00 AM at a designated point in Bariloche before heading to the river.
Fishing begins around 9:00 AM and continues until about 1:00 PM, when we pause for a well-deserved riverside lunch. The afternoon session runs until approximately 4:00–5:00 PM, when we reach camp. There, our support crew will have everything ready for you to relax, unwind, and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner under the Patagonian sky.
The following morning, after a hearty breakfast, we set off from camp for another day of fishing, eventually reaching the next campsite. This rhythm continues throughout your journey, with each day bringing new stretches of water and unique experiences. On the final day, we return to Bariloche and take you back to your accommodation or meeting point.

Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t own fishing gear. Do you provide it?
No worries—we provide everything you need. All equipment is included and tailored to the waters you’ll be fishing, including rods, reels, lines, and flies.
Do I need to know how to fly fish?
Not at all. Our guides love introducing newcomers to this fascinating sport and will do their best to help you land your first trout on your very first fly-fishing experience. Alternatively, most of the waters we fish are also suitable for conventional spinning gear.
I’m vegetarian/vegan. Do you offer alternative food choices?
Absolutely. We’re happy to adapt meals to your dietary needs. Just let us know about any preferences or restrictions in advance, and we’ll make sure you enjoy the food as much as the scenery and the fishing.
What personal gear should I bring?
We provide all fishing equipment, food, and beverages. You should bring:
- Sunglasses (essential for both safety and comfort while fishing)
- A warm layer, as Patagonia’s weather can change quickly
- A hat and sunscreen for sun protection
My partner doesn’t want to fish. Can they come along?
Of course! They can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and delicious food. And who knows—after a day surrounded by Patagonia’s beauty, they might even be tempted to give fishing a try.
