Waters run exceptionally clear, often with visibility past thirty feet, and hold strong populations of wild brown, rainbow, and brook trout. Much of the fishing is done from skiffs working creek mouths, bays, and weedbeds, with wading opportunities where the rivers narrow. Because hatches on the Manso system tend to be sporadic, streamers and sinking lines account for many of the largest fish.
